GDPR & Parents Permissions
During the development of the Erasmus+ project focused on artificial intelligence, compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was ensured at all stages of the work with participating students, which included 17-year-olds. Informed consent was obtained from families or legal guardians before collecting any personal data, and clear and accessible information was provided on the use of such data. In addition, principles of minimisation and anonymisation were applied, ensuring that only data strictly necessary for the project activities was collected, and that it was treated confidentially and stored in secure environments.
Furthermore, a data protection officer was appointed within the coordinating team, and an internal privacy policy was developed, adapted to the educational and technological context of the project. Information sessions were held with students to raise awareness of their digital rights and the ethical use of artificial intelligence, promoting a culture of responsibility and transparency. These measures not only ensured legal compliance, but also strengthened the educational dimension of the project, integrating data protection as a cross-cutting theme in working with emerging technologies.
